Your Thinking Partner
The workflows, tools, and frameworks that turn information into understanding.
This isn't a spec sheet. These are the actual workflows I use every day — how I research, capture ideas, think through complex problems, and build with intention. Three workflows. Real tools. Real examples.
The creative models page showed you what AI can make. This page shows you how it thinks. Research engines, reasoning models, knowledge management systems — the thinking layer that makes everything else possible.
The Thinker, The Doer, The Processor
Every AI provider ships models at different weight classes. The names change every month. The mental model doesn't.
The Thinker
Claude Opus 4 · GPT-5.2 · Gemini 3.1 Pro
Your strategic brain. Use this for planning, deep writing, framework creation, and any decision that shapes everything downstream. This is where you map before you move. Never rush The Thinker.
The Doer
Claude Sonnet 4 · DeepSeek V3.2 · Kimi K2
Your daily driver. Handles roughly 70% of your tasks — implementation, content repurposing, bounded research, and execution against a plan that's already locked. Fast, capable, cost-effective.
The Processor
Claude Haiku 4.5 · GPT-5 mini · DeepSeek V3.2 chat
Your assembly line. Transcription, tagging, formatting, file conversion — anything mechanical and high-volume. Fast and cheap. Don't overthink it.
Match the weight of the model to the weight of the task. The mental model stays the same even when the model names change.
Tier 1 in Practice
What This Looks Like
The tier model tells you when to reach for the top-shelf model. These are real examples of what comes back when you do. Each one started as a conversation — not a prompt template.
Thinking Partner
It catches the language you use against yourself before you notice.
You’re not avoiding the conversation because you don’t know what to say. You’re avoiding it because you already know what you’d be walking into — a courtroom where the verdict about who you are was written before you arrived.
The word "selfish" slipped in. Catch that.
Somewhere, the conditioning is whispering: wanting boundaries makes you the bad friend. Having limits proves the narrative right. But that narrative was never yours. The discomfort you’re feeling isn’t guilt. It’s the friction of outgrowing a role you never auditioned for.
Feed it your situation and it surfaces the exact emotional logic you’re too close to see.
Research & Deep Dives
Your AI-powered research lab.
Deep research is AI's most underutilized feature. Most people are still Googling. I feed entire lecture series, academic papers, and 200-page PDFs into models that can hold 2 million tokens of context — and they come back with synthesis that would have taken me weeks. The gap between this workflow and a Google search is genuinely embarrassing.
Workflow Chain
Three tools, one pipeline — from discovery to original analysis.
Discovers academic papers + key findings. Surfaces relevant research you'd never find through keyword searches alone.
Processes sources, creates study guides, enables conversational Q&A across everything you've uploaded.
Deep synthesis, framework extraction, original analysis. Turns raw research into structured, usable thinking.
Gemini processing Austin Coppock transcripts — full semester of Hellenistic astrology lectures synthesized into structured notes
The quality of AI output is bounded by the quality of your input. Start with real sources — not vibes, not summaries of summaries. Primary sources in, original thinking out.

Capture & Organize
ADHD-first knowledge capture.
My ADHD brain needed this. Voice memos at 2am, browser tabs I'll never revisit, half-finished thoughts scattered across five apps. The old system required motivation to maintain. This one doesn't. Voice goes in, transcription happens, AI extracts the signal, tags it with my thesis categories, and routes it to the right vault folder. Zero routing decisions. Zero executive function tax.

AI Extraction
Key ideas extracted, tagged with 5 thesis categories

4-Tier Retrieval Chain
Visual diagram coming — each tier escalates retrieval depth from keyword match to full generative synthesis.
Build for your worst day, not your best. If the system requires motivation to maintain, redesign it. The capture layer should work when you're exhausted, distracted, and running on caffeine.

You've seen the stack. You've seen how it thinks. Now it's time to put words in its mouth.
